The City of East Wenatchee's planning commission is a seven-member volunteer board. The members are appointed by the Mayor. The primary role of the planning commission is to serve in an advisory capacity to the mayor and city council regarding land use matters. They also conduct public hearings for various land use permits. The planning commission typically meets once per month. The position open will fill the remaining term of a member who is no longer able to serve on the Planning Commission Board. The City will be accepting applications until position is filled. Applicants must reside within the city or in Douglas County within three miles of the City limits, own property within the City, or do business in the City.
